Yancey H.S. vs. Sabinal H.S.

Yesterday morning the Yancey and Sabinal High School teams played a lively game of football on the Sabinal gridiron.  The Yancey boys played well but they didn't have much of a chance to win with the Sabinal team.  They scored in the second quarter making a touchdown, but failed to kick goal.  The Sabinal team scored 14 points in the first quarter and did fine playing throughout the game.  The boys are developing very satisfactorily.  Everybody is proud of them.  The score was 28 to 6 in favor of Sabinal.

With that the Yellowjackets wound up their first season in the school's history.  Sabinal fans had a great deal to talk about and speculate on until next fall rolled around.
