The Uvalde "Town Team" (not affiliated to Uvalde HS) was made up of citizens of Uvalde.  Sabinal also had a "Town Team".

The football game played Tuesday afternoon in Sabinal, the Sabinal High School was interesting to those who went.  The (Uvalde) city team was made up of mostly older more experienced players.  They were heavier as well.  But the high school boys were very plucky and did some real good playing although they were not able to score.  The score was 31 to 0 in favor of Uvalde.
